3MW Documentary Concept
A documentary that explores the evolution of comic books from it's golden age in the 1940's to it's many media adaptations from Movies to Video Games and how fans and other audiences feel about the branding and merchandising of beloved superhero stories.
The content that will be used in our documentary would be interviews from fans of the comic books and fans of the comic book movie adaptations. In the interviews we will be asking questions about the history of comic books, the interviewees love of comic books and their opinions of comic book adaptations.
Our documentary will be in the form of an expository documentary and of special interest as we will presenting facts and opinions from the world of comic books and comic book fans. We will be exploring the history of comic books and how true the many media adaptations are to the source material.
The target audience for our documentary would be fans of comic books, comic book adaptations and both, including me and my film partner. We will be interviewing fans of the genre and those who are against or for the use of comic books for movies or other adaptations.

Back in the golden age of comic books, the comics were used by fans to escape into these fantasy worlds and leave the real world behind, due to the Second World War, the comics had a positive and patriotic narrative of good triumphing over evil. Superman would come under as the most patriotic as well as Captain America.
Fan Opinions
Ever since beloved comic book characters have been adapted on the big screen, Fans of comic books haven't been very happy about seeing their favorite heroes be changed by Hollywood for merchandising and branding.
